About the Quayside Desk
This page answers a simple question: who is behind this New Westminster casino guide? It also explains how the facts are checked, how the site earns money, and where to send a correction or a question about how the guide works.
Who keeps this guide
The guide is written and edited by its own editorial team. That team signs its work as the Quayside desk, with no personal byline. You will not find a name at the bottom of a page, only the desk.
Its position is simple. The desk works for no casino and takes no bets. It writes for one reader in particular: someone who has never set foot in a casino and would like a calm first visit.
How the facts are checked
Every hour, address and phone number here comes from a casino's own pages or from BCLC's pages. BCLC is the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. For each fact, the desk keeps a note of the source and the date it was checked, which is October 2026.
Distances follow a different rule. Each one is measured in a straight line across a map, as the crow flies. Roads play no part in it, so a distance tells you nothing about how long the drive takes.
When a fact cannot be confirmed, it is left out. That is why some answers are only a phone number. Starlight Casino, at 350 Gifford Street in Queensborough, can be reached on 604-777-2946.
How the guide is paid
No casino pays for this guide or for being described in it. One paid link exists, on the home page, and it is marked Ad. It points to an online casino partner, which may not stay the same over time. That link earns the site a commission. The Advertising page sets this out in full and also covers the pictures used across the guide.
Where to write to the desk
Mail for the Quayside desk goes to news@newwestminstercasino.com. Write to flag an error, to report opening hours that no longer match, or to ask how the guide does its work. The address is the guide's own and belongs to no casino. To reach a casino directly, call that casino's own phone line.
