Who Pays for This Guide
This page answers a simple question: who pays for a free guide to Starlight Casino in Queensborough? The short answer is one paid link on the home page. Every other page and link on the site earns nothing at all.
One Paid Link, on the Home Page
The home page holds a single paid link, clearly labelled Ad. A partner operates the online casino it points to. Who that partner is may change over time. When a reader signs up through the link, the site earns a commission.
Neither PlayNow nor the province is this partner. PlayNow.com is run by BCLC and is the province's own online gambling site. The guide makes no claim that the partner holds a B.C. licence.
Starlight Casino does not pay to be described here. Nothing on the inner pages is sponsored. The pages about the ID scan, the floor and a first table are written without money changing hands.
Every Other Link Is Unpaid
Every other link on this site is unpaid. That includes the casino's own website, PlayNow, GameSense and help lines such as Gambling Support BC at 1-888-795-6111. The line is free and open 24/7.
You will not find casino offers or sign-up deals anywhere in this guide. The editors chose to leave them out, and that choice stays.
About the pictures
Most pictures here are painted-style images, generated by software from written instructions. They are not photographs and carry no caption. Some follow real photographs, from almost the same spot in evening light. These show the Starlight Casino entrance and table games, and slot floors at Cascades Casino Langley, Elements Casino Surrey and Parq Vancouver. Other scenes, like the riverside path, show no real venue.
Four come from freely licensed photographs, credited underneath by photographer and licence. Hastings Racecourse is public domain, people removed; the River Rock hotel and sky bridge is cropped. The River Rock boardwalk and atrium were redrawn in the guide style, with a person added. Image sources, below, lists them with links. The woman shown is invented, not real, and works for no casino.
